Trauma-informed, culturally responsive online therapy for adults, couples, Black women, educators, helping professionals, veterans, and clients navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, stress, relationship concerns, grief, and life transitions.

ACT Wellness Institute provides secure online therapy for clients located in Maryland and Mississippi. Our services are designed for adults, couples, Black women, BIPOC clients, educators, helping professionals, veterans, and individuals who are carrying stress, trauma, anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship concerns, or the emotional weight of always having to keep going.

Our therapy approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, identity-affirming, and grounded in practical support for real life.

Individual Therapy for Adults

Online individual therapy can support you when life feels heavy, overwhelming, or difficult to manage alone. At ACT Wellness Institute, we help adults in Maryland and Mississippi work through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship patterns, and major life transitions.

Therapy gives you space to slow down, understand what you are carrying, build healthier coping skills, and reconnect with the version of yourself you are trying to become.

Trauma Therapy for Adults

Trauma therapy can help you process painful experiences, regulate emotions, reduce survival-mode patterns, and rebuild a sense of safety and stability. We support adults healing from childhood trauma, racial trauma, relationship trauma, military-connected trauma, chronic stress, grief, and overwhelming life experiences.

Our approach is body-aware, trauma-informed, and paced with care so healing does not feel rushed or forced.

Therapy for Black Women

ACT Wellness Institute provides culturally responsive therapy for Black women who are tired of being strong all the time. We support Black women navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship stress, grief, identity pressure, work stress, overfunctioning, and the emotional weight of caring for everyone else while trying not to fall apart.

Therapy can be a space to rest, be honest, set boundaries, reconnect with your needs, and heal without having to explain every part of your lived experience.

Therapy for Educators & Helping Professionals in Maryland

Educators, school staff, social workers, and helping professionals often carry the emotional needs of others while managing high expectations, limited resources, and constant pressure. Therapy can support you in managing burnout, compassion fatigue, overwhelm, work stress, boundaries, identity exhaustion, and the emotional load of caring deeply.

At ACT Wellness Institute, we understand the realities of school systems, helping professions, leadership pressure, and service-based work.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy supports partners who want to improve communication, rebuild emotional connection, understand conflict patterns, repair trust, and navigate life transitions together. At ACT Wellness Institute, couples therapy focuses on helping partners feel heard, reduce defensiveness, express needs more clearly, and create healthier ways of responding to one another.

Couples therapy is available virtually for couples located in Maryland. Insurance coverage may depend on whether the session is connected to the treatment plan of an identified client with a diagnosed mental health condition.

Faith Sensitive Therapy

Faith-sensitive therapy is available for clients who want to include faith, spirituality, values, or meaning-making in their healing process. This is always client-led, culturally respectful, and based on your comfort level.

Military and Veteran Trauma Therapy

ACT Wellness Institute offers veteran-led therapy for veterans, military-connected individuals, reservists, and adults navigating PTSD, moral injury, transition stress, service-related experiences, identity shifts, grief, and emotional overwhelm.

Therapy can help you process what you have carried, strengthen emotional regulation, reconnect with your values, and build support beyond survival mode.

Our team of highly qualified providers are dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space for healing, growth, and self-discovery, ensuring that our services are accessible, compassionate, and empowering for everyone.
